Hello, boys and girls!

Well, I've done some thinking on the matter, and I find myself at a crossroads.

See, the thing is, I've gotten a FurAffinity account (le GASP!), and after having it for about 3 months (maybe longer), I've drawn some comparison points between it and dA:

Pros:
1. Uses same formatting as my posts in the Nova Bars – basically means that I don't have to switch between <> and [], which is an UNGODLY headache...
2. Doesn't cost anything for centering, or colored text – a HUGE part of my posts rely on this, as they otherwise would lack the punch that they deliver on the forums.
3. Fellows from dA (most) are also on FA – that in and of itself is a plus, as I don't need to worry about losing communication this way.
4. Higher tolerance level – dA is pretty damn strict as to what can be posted on here or not (and the upper echelons even ABUSE this sometimes, posting stuff normally ban-worthy); granted, FA has similar rules, but they're more lenient. It seems friendlier that way.
5. Nice, simple design – what can I say? I like plaintiveness. ^_^
6. Not as prone to some shat I've seen on dA – viruses, hacks, that sort of thing.

Cons:
1. Limited Smiley support – they're a little on the bland side, but it's not such a big deal.
2. Smaller on the whole – the FA community isn't as big as dA, I noticed (well, dA DID get a couple-years head start); as such, there aren't as many people there to watch your work.
3. Aversion by reputation – don't get me wrong, I actually am starting to PREFER the place to dA, but the general populace is instantly abhorred if the word “furry” comes up. There's a difference between what anthro is, what furry is (note – pretty much the same, just different names), and what is “yiff” (the actual pron associated w/furry), which most don't know about. It's rather sad, actually.

What I'm trying to say is that I'm going to stop posting on dA. I won't be taking down any of my work, but I won't be uploading anything new. I might lurk around here and there, but your best chances to reach me will be on FA.

If an event presents itself, I may update the journal here, but that's about it.
